1959–1980's

Power units support North Dallas’ growth while the lake becomes a recreational destination.

2000

A Turning Point

Public access closes, leaving the land untouched—one of the last undeveloped areas in Dallas County.

2004

A Vision Takes Shape

Billingsley Company acquires land to create the Cypress Waters community.

2013–2014

Development Begins

Infrastructure and first office buildings mark the beginning of development.

2018–2019

The Sound Comes to Life

Restaurants, green space, and amphitheater open along the waterfront.
